I am having the same issue. As soon as I import picamer2, imshow hangs indefinitely until I kill the script. I went and did a force reisntall of opencv through pip and pyhthon3-picamer2 through apt but the issue still persists. Just having is enough to break it. Don't even need to call it, just import it. Brand new install of Bookworm here on a Pi4 B 4GB with a UC-517 camera (imx477).
