Back in 2017, you provided some code in the thread linked below to display a temperature in a Tkinter window from a DS18B20 sensor.

It works great but freezes, usually after a few hours.
I would like to add something similar to an existing Tkinter program.
How can I stop it freezing?
Also, why does it load as an executable python program rather than just a normal python program.
Any help would be appreciated.
