Is anyone aware of an installation recipe (sequence of installation steps) anywhere on the internet supporting the commodity functionality of playing video under the control of python? I am on a CM5 and making use of the H265 hardware support.
1) I wish to use python Qt, preferably some version of PyQt6 or PySide6
2) I would like to use the hardware acceleration provided by the CM5
3) I would like to use QtMultimedia
4) Therefore as I understand it need compatible QtMultimedia backends so GStreamer & FFmpeg
If seems very easy to install these components, but also very easy to install the incorrect versions! and as a consequence waste hours diagnosing and attempting to fix issue.
Has anyone actually successfully managed this? or should I switch to C++, reducing the installation complexity by removing an installation layer?
