Hello Raspberry Pi Community,
I'm encountering a concerning issue with the Raspberry Pi Pico W, specifically related to its WiFi module. I've noticed that if the WiFi module disconnects from an access point (AP), it can subsequently reconnect to the same network using an incorrect password, provided the SSID remains unchanged. This behavior seems unusual to me, and it raises significant security concerns for my project.
I am relatively new to working with WiFi modules, so I'm unsure if this is a standard behavior or a glitch. This issue is particularly problematic for me as there are constraints in my project that prevent power cycling as a viable solution. I have also explored potential software remedies, but thus far, I have not found an effective workaround.
For context, my project involves programming in MicroPython, and I have already consulted the Pico W manual regarding WiFi connections, but found no mention of this issue.
I'm reaching out to this forum as a last resort, hoping someone might have insights or experience with this issue. Any advice on how to disable this behavior or confirmation if it's a known glitch would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help!
